Cleaning and scrubbing will wait ’till tomorrow, but children grow up, as I’ve learned to my sorrow. So quiet down cobwebs! Dust go to sleep! I’m rocking my baby. Babies don’t keep. – Ruth Hamilton

Making the Best

We are going to make the best of our situation.  Yes, we are sad and yes the tears have been flowing, but in the end we have three children who need to know everything is going to be okay.  This week went fast!

Update: Mack is heading to St. Louis this morning for a platelet transfusion.  His platelets went from 157,000 last Friday to 20,000 yesterday.  It's expected and until we have a plan it's going to keep happening!  We are heading to the lake this weekend to get away and give them something fun to do.  He has been asking everyday to go.  We will be meeting next week with the doctors...and hopefully get some things decided.

Below are some ways we have been occupying our time.  We are so thankful for our friends and family that have given us support.  We are learning to lean on everyone more and taking some time for ourselves to get this concept wrapped around our heads.  The amount of time people are giving us is amazing and I can't believe there are so many wonderful people in this world!!!!!!

We've made homemade play dough

This is moon sand!  I got this from this site http://www.thekidfriendlyhome.com/2013/01/moon-sand.html

We bought a huge bin to put it in and Mack played with it for 2 hours the other day.  We even made a batch to bring to the hospital

They have spent time with cousins

Miss Lindsey brought dinner and company!

We celebrated Nanny's birthday-her birthday was on the day we put Mack in the hospital

Avery loves to hold Ireland

Hopefully Ireland loved it too!

Lincoln loves the balloon Cohan and Ireland sent Mack in the hospital!!!
