Cleaning and scrubbing will wait ’till tomorrow, but children grow up, as I’ve learned to my sorrow. So quiet down cobwebs! Dust go to sleep! I’m rocking my baby. Babies don’t keep. – Ruth Hamilton

Tick...Tock

The waiting is driving me nuts!  I have not had the opportunity to carry a baby for so long-Avery was three weeks early and Mack was two weeks early.  Looks like #3 is very comfortable-last Friday I was having contractions every couple of minutes and thought for sure he was coming early.  We even went to the hospital and had Mark's mom and Meagan come out to be the kiddos (a huge thank you to them)  Nope!  Nothing!  Not even a sign he wants to come out all week.
I shouldn't complain because I am able to get a lot done while waiting.  My mom came on Thursday night to help out and it has been like a vacation before the storm.  She has stocked the fridge, cooked for us and got the kids' schedules down.  It should be a pretty easy couple of days....except I feel...
-saying goodbye to my babies for a couple of days is going to be hard and emotional.
-coming home from the hospital after a c-section and trying to still be a mom of three is going to be REALLY hard.
-trying to breastfeed with two other babies running around needing my attention will be a great challenge.
-Avery is very attached to me-how the heck am I going to sit back while she cries for me to put her to bed (her room is upstairs and you can't lift for a while)?
-what will it be like going in to a SCHEDULED c-section-just the thought of that gives me anxiety.

These are just a few emotions that are building inside, but as my doctor says, "you are just going to pick yourself up and be a mom like you have done the last few times."  We are very lucky to have a lot of family around and will need every ounce of help we can get!  We also have a wonderful nanny that will be here to help.  With all of this we will survive.
I just have to remember it is only be for a few short weeks and then we will have our routine back.  Mark and I can't wait to meet L...... oops baby #3! (We will announce his name when he comes).  Never through all these emotions have I ever doubted our ability to love another baby Watson (we should hope so right?).
While the clock is ticking we are laying low and trying to rest.  Here are some pictures from this morning:
We had a huge breakfast-a norm for us

Mack decided Jelly was his choice of shampoo...

"Wait-you mean it's not?  Oh man that means bath time?"
Monday will be a fun day.  We go in at 10:00 in the morning!  Wish us luck!

It's a First

Mack had his first haircut!
On Saturday, February 18th we went over to my friend Lindsey's house-she loves to cut hair and I totally trust her.  It was perfect because I was able to set them up with food while she worked.  Avery was not going to have anything to do with it (we still have not touched hers).  But Mack was fine with it-he did a great job.

Of course we had to show it off his new Mohawk at the park.
Thank you Lindsey for being with us on a first!

Up or Down?

This little man can really test our patience!  He is the happiest little boy-loves to go to other people (which Avery never does) and is very full of personality.  But oh man if he hears the word NO...

It's over!  This is what happens:
He falls down into this position and cries (sorry he just got up from a nap and I hadn't put his pants back on).
We have started to find it funny, but geez it's annoying!

At other times he is the happiest boy!

The things we will have to go through never knowing if he's up or down.

I LOVE This Day

He sure did eat some paint while doing this...
Since I was a little girl I have always loved Valentine's Day.  I think because of all the fun activities, colors, and most importantly my birthday is two days later.  My parents always made it special and my dad sent me flowers, so for my parties I had flowers to display.  Now that I have my own kids, I want to make it special for them.  Yes, it can still be romantic and be a day to remind your husband how much you love each other, but Mark and I agree it's more for the kids.
The day before Valentine's Day was a snow day, so I got the entire day with them.  We started off by making Valentines for Daddy and Miss Emily.  We used the idea of using toilet paper rolls in the shape of hearts (taken from the Kid Friendly site).  They really loved dipping it in paint.
On the actual day I had to work, but Mark sent me flowers to work and sent the kids flowers with balloons-even Miss Emily got a delivery of flowers.  Mark is so great at that and thoughtful!  He always shows us how much he loves us.
They also got little gifts.  They are starting to understand the fun in opening presents!

Below are pictures of all our fun and gifts:
These are their flowers and balloons

They made cookies

They also used old crayons and put them in heart molds to make these

Happy Valentine's Day late-now today is another day to celebrate...
The big 31st birthday! I LOVE this day too!

You Can't Hide Your Flaws

It’s so true-when you have children you can’t hide your flaws.  They are a mold of you and your husband-together you have created these perfect little people, but when they are doing things that seem a little strange…you think how would they know how to do that?  Yeah, it’s because they are your mini you!

I haven’t had the opportunity to experience this outside of the home because they haven’t gone to school yet, but just around the house I have seen some funny things.  One example (it’s a little embarrassing) is when I brush my teeth.  When I finish I spit making a loud noise.  Now they walk around the house making that noise as well as when they have something in their mouth and want to spit it out.  Someone else would think this is weird, but I laugh because I know why they are doing it.

They are also obsessed with cleaning.  Mack now takes everything and throws it in the trash (if we can’t find something, we know where to look).  And Avery wants to "wipe" everything down.

It will be pretty funny to see what else comes out as they grow and I wouldn't change it for the world.  So for now my flaws are what make them so unique:)

Only about two weeks left until baby three joins our family and we are ready...
at least Mark and I are!

Wonderful Breakfast

I am always searching for new ideas for my kiddos to eat.  For breakfast it is the same everyday-they love turkey sausage.  Today I re-introduced (from when they were really little) cream of wheat, applesauce, and cinnamon.  They have never been that quite during a meal, so I had to document this moment.  They ate an entire bowl!  Hopefully this can work with some oatmeal as well.

Friday Funday

Today was a day we needed! We stayed home and I got a lot of cleaning done before Mack even woke up. It was a busy week and I was extra tired...Sesame Street Live (pictures to come soon) took it out of me, but Avery had a blast!

Today we finally had a play date with baby Eleanor and my friend Rachel. It was nice to catch up-even though the kids didn't really play together it was good adult time:)

This was at the end...Avery was asking to go night night!
After naps, Avery and I ran to the store to get our things to do some crafts for the next few weeks.  There is so much out there on every one's blog.  I will make sure to put where my ideas come from-I don't have time to be that creative so I thank everyone who has posted!  First thing I got was a table cloth that I could bring out for crafts.

Today we made a heart made from tissue paper-this was seen on: http://www.meetthedubiens.com/
I drew a heart and then cut some red and pink tissue paper...
She filled it in with glue...
She just crumpled them up and stuck them on!
In the process she made an airplane...
and a truck!
Our final product.

Avery and Me Me (Miss Emily) made these a couple of weeks ago.  The next two weeks are packed with fun crafts that I will share from a variety of places.
