Cleaning and scrubbing will wait ’till tomorrow, but children grow up, as I’ve learned to my sorrow. So quiet down cobwebs! Dust go to sleep! I’m rocking my baby. Babies don’t keep. – Ruth Hamilton

All New

After the last few years we've had, we finally made the plunge into a remodel! We have lived in our house almost 8 years and have done a lot to fix it up. The outside has been changed and we love it-the inside was always going to be a fixer upper. I've never built a house let alone remodel one!  Growing up we moved multiple times and built a house...I learned nothing! We showed up at the flooring store and were so overwhelmed, but we have the best person working for us. I didn't even think about picking out grout!!! Now I'm choosing cabinets, a shower, flooring and more! We are very lucky to have to architects in our lives helping with our decisions.
The night before demolition we cleared out mostly everything or so we thought.
We didn't do nearly as much as Mark, my brother, Mark's two brothers, and my dad did!!!!!

That was their view and this sweet picture summed up my view.

We headed home (Mack has a cookie in his hand while asleep) to learn we could no longer live at our house. So now we are bunking up with Nanny and Papa H. They have welcomed is into their home for...

Who knows how long:/

Meanwhile this princess lost her first tooth with two more loose. Yikes she is such a big girl. Tinney Tiny left a note to her with candy and a dollar. She was so excited that she woke up her cousin at 2:30 in the morning to run in where my mom and I were sleeping to tell us!
Hopefully our remodel goes smoothly and we aren't too much of a hassle:)

Head spinning

I feel there are a lot more head spinning weekends lately!  Lincoln had his 3rd birthday party on Friday night (the 27th) and we had a blast. Unfortunately the next snow storm was coming in on Saturday and that meant Mark would have to work. Which meant he had to miss Frozen on Ice-tickets that were bought in June.
So I headed back to St. Louis with my family. We enjoyed swimming and watched the snow come in. That night we had a cousin sleep over and relaxed.

The next day was our show. My mom had tennis so papa got to join us:)

He may have not been excited at first, but I think he enjoyed seeing the kids.

Papa also bought the kids everything they wanted! Including a princess wand and Olaf spinners! Disney knows how to market to kids;)
As soon as it was over we got in the car and rushed back to Columbia for our nephews' birthday! He had it at a gym and the kids were so excited. It was the only reason they hurried after the show to get home. Happy birthday Cohan!!! We were so glad to make it in time!
Does it ever calm down?

A Little Journey Back

If I ever thought I was behind on this blog before, now is an all time record.  We have celebrated Lincoln's birthday, built a chicken coop and have now ripped out our lower level of the house.  I am going to start back...way back!

We didn't have snow all winter, but as soon as January hit, we had plenty!

There were also the occasional nice days.  Avery had a birthday party with little girls from school.  Afterwards they played outside (in their Elsa dresses of course).

Below is our chicken coop in progress.  It has been put on hold due to the weather and our house.  I can't wait to get back from spring break and get our new pets.  They will be a perfect addition to our garden.
The kids had a Valentine's Day party at school.  I love that I get to be a part of their school life.
After the party we jumped in the car to celebrate my birthday and my nieces birthday!
We did gifts in the car!
My sister-in-law called in advance to make sure I was okay with having my nieces' birthday on my birthday weekend and that it didn't collide with Lincolns' birthday.  Of course not!  What better way to kick off the weekend then to have a Paw Patrol pancake breakfast.  The kids enjoyed their time and spent time with their second cousins.
I'm glad they get to attend these events!
That night the girls came over with Miss Kristina and the adults enjoyed a group night out for Valentine's Day.  Mommy got to go shopping and got a pedi.
Then it was all snuggles awaiting another snow storm!

These days are going way too fast!  It's hard to keep up. I'll try my best because I have so much more to share!
