Cleaning and scrubbing will wait ’till tomorrow, but children grow up, as I’ve learned to my sorrow. So quiet down cobwebs! Dust go to sleep! I’m rocking my baby. Babies don’t keep. – Ruth Hamilton

Big Girl

Avery has been a joy this week with her sleeping! Yes, in fact she learned to take all her clothes off and jump around naked in her crib until we came up to get her. Then she started to throw up every time we went into her crib-which leads to bathing her, changing her sheets, and having to shampoo the carpet! So the joy was all ours!

We were going to wait until her birthday to move her in a big bed, but she has made it apparent she needed it sooner. Instead of jumping to a full size bed we started with the toddler bed. We decided to make it a really big deal and take her to the store to pick out new bedding...

I was hoping she wouldn't pick what she did, but she did! She really wanted a princess bed-when she saw the Hello Kitty it was over. We let her get a princess nightgown to go with her pink Hello Kitty bedding. First we had to wash it:

Then it was time to put it all together.

We have had a few successful nights and a few naps, but this has turned into wanting her light on and her door open.  At this point-whatever works we will try!  It's one thing getting up to feed Lincoln and it's another getting up to fight sleep with a two year old.
There is a huge pillow case and comforter that goes with this set.  Just didn't get the pictures of it.

She knew what she wanted!  I love this girl!
