Cleaning and scrubbing will wait ’till tomorrow, but children grow up, as I’ve learned to my sorrow. So quiet down cobwebs! Dust go to sleep! I’m rocking my baby. Babies don’t keep. – Ruth Hamilton

You Can't Hide Your Flaws

It’s so true-when you have children you can’t hide your flaws.  They are a mold of you and your husband-together you have created these perfect little people, but when they are doing things that seem a little strange…you think how would they know how to do that?  Yeah, it’s because they are your mini you!

I haven’t had the opportunity to experience this outside of the home because they haven’t gone to school yet, but just around the house I have seen some funny things.  One example (it’s a little embarrassing) is when I brush my teeth.  When I finish I spit making a loud noise.  Now they walk around the house making that noise as well as when they have something in their mouth and want to spit it out.  Someone else would think this is weird, but I laugh because I know why they are doing it.

They are also obsessed with cleaning.  Mack now takes everything and throws it in the trash (if we can’t find something, we know where to look).  And Avery wants to "wipe" everything down.

It will be pretty funny to see what else comes out as they grow and I wouldn't change it for the world.  So for now my flaws are what make them so unique:)

Only about two weeks left until baby three joins our family and we are ready...
at least Mark and I are!

  1. Oh my goodness. Two weeks. That is crazy! I love the mini-me aspect too. My husband loves to golf and he and Calan play often with his toy clubs. After Calan takes his swing, he lets the club slide through his hands holding on to the head of the club just like his dad. Melts my heart. :)
