The rest of break was much better! The news about Mack lifted our spirits and put me in a better mood.
Nanny realized we were having some rough days and brought us some dinner...it was NEEDED!
I took the three kiddos to St. Louis for Mack's appointment and then stayed for a few days to have some fun. On Thursday we loaded up six kids and headed to Purina Farms-they had baby animals to visit. It was a lot more fun then I thought. Mack, of course, found the tractors...
Then Lincoln joined him.
It started a big fight to get them away from the corn and tractors, but once he saw the animals it was over.
They had baby goats, sheep, chicken, cows, horses, and much more.
This is our usual sight...ready to run! |
But happy to be a part of the action |
The pigs were a big hit! I love the picture above-Mack had his head down and the pig came running up and scared him.
It felt so good to get out of the house and let them all play together. Especially Mack! He is acting like himself and is even starting to look like himself.
To end our day trip we stopped at McDonald's-that was interesting with six kids, but they did great! It was a quiet ride home.
Then onFriday, we had to go back to the hospital for blood work and platelets. His numbers dropped a lot and I was a little concerned, but on Monday they were back up and we are making a lot of plans for the weekends-it's like a box was lifted off us!!! We're free!!
This was our ride back to Columbia...
