Cleaning and scrubbing will wait ’till tomorrow, but children grow up, as I’ve learned to my sorrow. So quiet down cobwebs! Dust go to sleep! I’m rocking my baby. Babies don’t keep. – Ruth Hamilton

Do You Think We Have a Future Part 2?

Back when I first started this blog, I posted a funny video of Mack and Avery singing together with a little piano-titled, Do You Think We Have a Future?  They were both babies:You Tube (the video from the old post won't work) This video is one of my favorites and makes me laugh!

Lately, I've been hearing Avery on the piano-especially when things are happening with Mack-it's like her way of calming the house down. Well, yesterday I finally got them on video. Mack joined her and I think it goes well with the video of them as babies. They are still loud, but now you can hear a little tune...a little ;)

I can't wait to start them with lessons-I regret never sticking with it!  At least they have the piano to get used to playing.  It also helps their older cousin is always playing.

You Can't Hide Your Flaws

It’s so true-when you have children you can’t hide your flaws.  They are a mold of you and your husband-together you have created these perfect little people, but when they are doing things that seem a little strange…you think how would they know how to do that?  Yeah, it’s because they are your mini you!

I haven’t had the opportunity to experience this outside of the home because they haven’t gone to school yet, but just around the house I have seen some funny things.  One example (it’s a little embarrassing) is when I brush my teeth.  When I finish I spit making a loud noise.  Now they walk around the house making that noise as well as when they have something in their mouth and want to spit it out.  Someone else would think this is weird, but I laugh because I know why they are doing it.

They are also obsessed with cleaning.  Mack now takes everything and throws it in the trash (if we can’t find something, we know where to look).  And Avery wants to "wipe" everything down.

It will be pretty funny to see what else comes out as they grow and I wouldn't change it for the world.  So for now my flaws are what make them so unique:)

Only about two weeks left until baby three joins our family and we are ready...
at least Mark and I are!

Pretty Sure We Are Trained

I think we have made it. Avery is fully trained! She no longer wears any diapers (minus naps-pull ups and night time). We can go anywhere now and she will tell us when she has to go. I am so proud of her and her independence! Just now I found her doing this...

I really hope I haven't created a germ phoebe...I just talk about how "yucky" toilets are in public.  It was too funny to not write about!

There is Always Something Entertaining us at Our House

Just when I think our lives are quite...
something always happens to make us laugh!

Avery LOVES to put on my shoes.  This night it was my new boots.  I love that she has learned to smile for the pictures!

Avery has learned to clear the table when we are finished eating-this has been very nice and she has been teaching Mack (although he is NOT allowed to carry the real plates-we found that out the hard way when he purposely threw a bowl to the ground).  This morning she was clearing the table while I was at the sink.  I heard Mack scream and knew she had taken his food away-when I told her he wasn't done, she crawled up in the chair and began spoon feeding him his yogurt.  The funny part was he let her!  They were both happy-what an amazing connection they have.  Last week, I took them to the library and they would not have anything to do with any of the other kids!  It was them playing and wrestling together (yep, we were those people who had to leave story time).  Mark and I are glad they have begun to play together and realized they have a playmate for life!  We try to remind ourselves this when things get a little bit overwhelming!

Buddies for life!  Just think of what fun they will have with the next baby boy!

Sunday Morning Surprise

This morning we were all sitting at the table enjoying breakfast together before getting ready for church. I was hot and asked Mark to open the windows. As soon as he sat down we hear a loud noise-this is what we saw:

We were all laughing pretty hard-even though it was ripping our screen! How many people can say this has happened to them? What a Sunday Surprise!

A Few Funnies

I have two things I just have to share! Today Avery spiked a fever and we had to go to the doctor this afternoon. At this point it's all a waiting game to find out what is wrong-hopefully it goes away because if not then we have to go back and do some test! Even though it hasn't be very fun around our house, there has been some really funny events that have happened:
*The other day Mack was trying to take some of Avery's food as she sat in her chair. She proceeded to put her hand over his face a shove him to the ground. I was in total shock and trying to figure out what to say or how to act...I think she realized what she had done and saw the look on my face, because she ran off. I thought she was running away, but then I saw she stopped at the stairs (where her time out spot is) and put herself in time out! I didn't know what to say or do except share my story:)!
*Tonight after we brought her fever down we put both kids in the bath. Mack walked by Avery in the tub and tooted in her face-this made us giggle a little bit so he started laughing as well. This in turn, directed Avery to his private area. Avery became very concerned! She thought he was hurt and tried to poor water on it...oh man! She couldn't stop saying Oh Uh Mack! I couldn't help but laugh at this!
Like I have said before, they are both very different! The events only get more entertaining! Hope you all find these as funny as I do!

Lemons? Really?

The first time this happened I didn't get any pictures, so this time I had to grab my camera.
The first time I ran to the bathroom and suddenly everything was silent...so what does any mom do? Run out to see what could possibly be happening! There they were hanging out on my bedroom floor. Avery was throwing pieces of granola bar to her brother. He loved it.
The second time I was making dinner and they were in the living room playing. Mind you, when Mack is playing he is very loud! Avery can entertain herself forever, but Mack is everywhere. So again when I didn't hear any noise I ran to the scene of the crime. There I found Avery and Mack with pieces of Lemons! She had dug them out of my water and proceed to give Mack one as well. He LOVED it! Hung on to it all night-so the pictures are from when I finally got them at the table for dinner. They still had them in their hands. Now when we go out to eat, Mack is entertain by a lemon.
Oh man these two are fun, but a lot of work!

Do you think we have a future?

I know I posted this weekend already, but this was so funny! So, what do you think? Do we have a future in music? Probably not with the parents they have. They seem to work well together. Enjoy!

Silly times

The first video is Avery feeding Cooper. She was off by herself when I was changing Mack and when I came into the room she had the lid off the food and was giving our fat dog some more food. It was so cute.
