Painting With What's in the Kitchen

Avery and Mack have been enjoying the beautiful weather we have had here in Missouri.  When yesterday turned out to be a rainy day, we were all ready for a day to stay inside and made sure to fill it with activities.  So, what can you do with a one and two year old?

                                                                                                                                                                       

 

We found things in the kitchen to paint with!  Miss Emily started it with Avery and as soon as Mack heard the sounds of her stamping he came running.

Today we used celery, a potato, and an apple.

They loved this activity and the paintings turned out to be beautiful art pieces!

Baby Lincoln enjoyed watching.  After the painting was over, they baked cookies.  These aprons are from their cousin's birthday party-so cute.

It was a great day to stay indoors and rest-thanks to the help of our nanny Miss Emily!

Show a Little Love

Since we have been home there has been nothing but wonderful support from our favorite people.  My parents are out of town this week, so the rest of the family (and close friends) have been in full swing.  Nanny has been here to help in the most amazing way-not sure we are able to thank her enough for all the laundry, food, and help around the house.

Aunt Meagan and Uncle Jack came by on Sunday morning when we got home from the hospital and brought pancakes for Avery and Mack-that was a huge hit.

Aunt Heidi, Uncle Scott and Cohan came over on Monday for dinner and to visit.

People have been so generous.  Thank you to our family and thank you to our friends who have been there for us.  Now I just can't wait for my parents to join in on this "fun":)! 

Oh and Lincoln had more blood work yesterday-we are all good and in the clear.  Yeah! 

What is in a Bag?

If you are a two year old what would you pack in a diaper bag?

We went to the park yesterday and Avery was packing her bag.  Later in the evening I looked to see what she had in there.  Crackers, camera, cloth napkins (must be the burp cloth), plastic bag, and of course tissues!  She is one funny lady.

Another Bump in the Road

Today we went to the doctor for Lincoln's check up and of course everything wasn't normal.  This has been an easy pregnancy and safe delivery, so something was going to happen.

I knew he looked a little "tan" and had a feeling he would have to be re-admitted to the hospital for jaundice.  I was right-we went through this with Avery (after three days in the ICU).  I know it's not that bad and he is going to be fine, but just going back into the hospital and leaving Avery and Mack was really hard. 

They didn't seem to mind too much, but we were just getting back into our routine... So today has been very emotional and exhausting.  Luckily (like stated before) our family was there to step in.  Mark took A and M to cousin Cohan's birthday party and my friend Celine came and sat with me all day at the hospital.  This was healthy for everyone-we all got to socialize outside of the house!  Thank you from everything Mark and I have to you all!

Now Mark is back and the evening has come.  This will mean a night of no sleep and no holding our newest baby!  This is what we have to look at:

Ugg tomorrow can't come fast enough-if we get to come home tomorrow!

He Has Made It Into The World

On Monday Morning, February 27th, we headed to the hospital.  Our feelings were very mixed-it was just as I thought... sad to leave my babies, but happy to know we were bringing another Watson into the world.  After all the anticipation Lincoln Glenn Watson joined us at 1:12 p.m. and weighed 8 LBs 9.2 ounces and was 21 inches long!

 Before we went in, the doctor swore he was going to be a small baby because I had not gotten very big, but as soon as she saw his head I heard her say, "I was wrong!"

With a c-section, everything happens really fast.  Within minutes he was in our arms!

 I am not going to lie and say everything was easy.  A repeat c-section is really hard on your body.

ALL READY TO GO HOME

 Here are the very first pictures with their very first reactions.  The pictures say it all.

Since Thursday we have been home.  It has NOT been easy and we are so thankful for the help we have received.  Next week will be interesting and hopefully I will be able to get around better.
